My 15 minutes
mixed media assemblage
kewpie doll, plaster 'stage', furniture legs
430 X 230 X 160mm
by Dale Copeland, 2010

I had great fun making this one, but I'm having trouble with the name.
It had connotations of that "everyone is famous for 15 minutes" quote - our brief spell in the limelight.
But also Shakespeare's "All the world's a stage ..." Even that bit about a big fish in a small pond.
Paul says it looks like me, that joyful "Ta daah".
My brief fling on a small stage.
(So any suggestions for the title would be appreciated.)

My mother told me "Nice people don't talk about sex or religion or death.
Our passions, our comforts, our hopes, our fears.
What else is worth talking about?
